Kellie Thomas-Walker was born in Ontario, California and raised in Old Shasta, California.  The rich colors that decorated the countryside fueled Kellie’s deep love for nature.  Her mother, an artist as well, integrated art into Kellie and her siblings daily lives. However, Kellie didn’t actively pursue art until the birth of her fourth daughter. Becoming a mother was the turning point for her art, it softened her and opened her up to seeing the world through many different possibilities. At a young age  Kellie developed a deep faith with God going  beyond the confines of expected norm, her faith inspires her work.  Which each piece brings a deep sense of her soul’s journey through this world. Kellie has been living in Long Beach, California for the past decade. Kellie attended multiple colleges for Nursing, but came back to the realization that art is her true calling. She continues to work alongside her mother as well as working with her daughters. Kellie also gives art lessons on the side, as well as volunteering as an art mentor at her children’s school.  She has shown in local galleries and online exhibits, as well as branching out to other cities.
